Financial Aid

GEAR UP is an acronym for Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs. It is a federally funded grant program, designed to increase the number of cohort students who are prepared to enter and succeed in post-secondary opportunities.

GEAR UP Central and GEAR UP Connect currently serves the Class of 2020 and 2024 at Millwood, Mid-Del, and Western Heights school districts. GEAR UP will provide support services for these students as they progress through middle school, high school and into their first year of college.

In order to become enrolled, parents must complete a GEAR UP authorization form and return it to the academic coordinator at your school site. It’s that simple. (Academic Coordinators can be reach by phone or email at the contact information listed below.)
