Good Evening Arts Academy Families Tomorrow November 13, 2024, is recognized as National Kindness Day. We want to promote Kindness not just tomorrow but for the rest of the school year. Students can wear Orange and Yellow and are encouraged to make an effort to be extra kind to someone tomorrow. We will recognize kind acts throughout the day, and students can earn House Points for showing acts of kindness. Reminder: The Houses of Amistad and Isinindi will be at school this Friday, November 15, 2024, from 8 am - 12:00 pm. Regular bus routes will run also. Millwood Public Schools will host a community meeting concerning a potential creation of a Tax Increment Finance District. The new TIF could have a financial impact on Millwood Schools. This meeting will cover the TIF proposal by the City of OKC and the financial impact on Millwood Schools. The community meeting will take place on tomorrow at 5pm at Millwood High School.

Good Afternoon Arts Academy Families, We are now ready for our Homecoming Game against Oklahoma Christian on Monday, October 28, 2024. The Ceremony will begin at @4:00 pm due to our packed schedule of games. On Monday, October 21, 2024, the Royal Court will be announced, and invites will be sent to parents congratulating your student for being recognized as a candidate. Please see the inserted poster for events that will begin on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. If your student is not participating in any dress-up events, they must be in uniform. We will send out reminders of what event is taking place each day. Please make sure your student is attending after-school tutoring if they need it. It is offered daily from 3:30 pm until 4:00 pm. Please make sure students follow dress code policies. The House of Altruismo and Isibindi will be at school this Friday, October 18, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. All other students will be virtual. There will be a High School Football game tomorrow, Thursday, October 17, 2024 @7p.m. All middle school students must be escorted by a parent to attend the football game. Please have a safe evening

Millwood Public Schools will distribute gun locks for free to any Millwood adult wishing to receive one. Millwood Security Officers will be available during Parent/Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, October 9th, from 5pm to 8 pm to distribute the locks at each site. There is no sign up required, nor will parents need to disclose any information to receive a gun lock. Gun locks will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
