Wednesday, May 7, 2025 - Bring your teacher a special gift (up to $5.00).
Thursday, May 8, 2025 - Wear your teacher's favorite color.
Our teachers deserve a celebration every day, but even if you can't participate this week, you can always call and say thank you for all that they continue to do and have done. Let's make this week special for our teachers.

Subject: Important Updates for Arts Academy Families
Good Evening Arts Academy Families,
State Testing is almost over for 2025, with our 8th graders concluding testing tomorrow in math. Good luck and great job to all grade levels!
Please note that the 8th grade trip has been postponed due to inclement weather and is now rescheduled for May 16, 2025.
A group of selected 6th graders will be attending Camp Trivera tomorrow, May 1, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
6th and 7th graders will have the opportunity to make up any missing assignments over the next two weeks. The last benchmark will also be administered soon, so please encourage students to do their best, as it will determine their Reading and Math classes for next year.
Summer School will be available for rising 7th graders only (current 6th graders) with 60 spots available. If these are not filled, we will invite other grade levels. Additionally, there will be a leadership camp offered to rising 8th graders (current 7th graders). More information will follow.
Lastly, students may dress out for $1.00 tomorrow, May 1, 2025.
Thank you for your continued support!
Best regards,
Arts Academy Families
Subject: Important Updates for Arts Academy Families
Dear Arts Academy Families,
Good Evening!
As we approach the end of the year, I want to thank you for your continued support. We have several important events coming up:
8th Grade Field Trip: Join us at Celebration Station on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please ensure your student submits their cash payment to Ms. James in the front office by Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
State Testing: This week marks the completion of state testing. It is crucial for students to be present, as we will also conduct make-up testing. We anticipate all tests will be finalized by Friday, May 2, 2025.
Technology Policy: No technology is permitted in the building during testing. All phones and iPads must be turned in to the office each morning. Late arrivals will also need to submit their devices to the front office.
Teacher Adjustments: We are making some adjustments to our teaching staff while ensuring your child continues to receive quality education. Mrs. Riley and Mr. Pete will ensure grades are updated. Parents can check grades on the portal by the end of this week.
We look forward to seeing all of our students tomorrow! Please remember that school starts at 8:00 a.m.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Best regards,
Arts Academy
Subject: 8th Grade Field Trip and Photo Update
Good Evening Arts Academy Parents,
Thank you for sending your 8th graders picture ready today. Unfortunately, we had a conflict with our photographer at the last minute. Due to the preparations for graduation items and testing, the Admin made the decision to take headshots with a cell phone and send them for print. Please rest assured that all photos will only be used for educational purposes and will be deleted afterwards. The pictures turned out quite nice, as they were taken with a Google Pixel.
As we look forward to closing out the year, we have a field trip coming up on May 2, 2025. We will be going to Celebration Station from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The cost is $30.00, and all money is due by April 29, 2025. We understand there may be financial challenges, so please reach out to the front office for assistance. We want all 8th graders to participate. If a student chooses not to follow our expectations, they will not be allowed to participate in the field trip and may jeopardize their participation in Graduation or Prom.
Students will be working up to the last day of school. They will have activities, but it is important to remain focused. This is a new beginning for our 8th Grade students.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Best regards,
Arts Academy Team
